Marni Kaner Trail Update 2/18/24; The Friends of the Marni Kaner Trail will set a few Texas flag displays for Independence Day (March 2nd) for the neighborhood to enjoy when you use the trail. Additionally, if you would like to help us decorate the entire trail for Memorial Day, please contact Joey Kaner (joeykaner@att.net). And, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/874699540729293).
The Marni Kaner Trail has been decorated with U.S. flags for Memorial Day weekend 2023
as way for our association’s residents to remember our fallen soldiers while using the hike/bike trail. The trail looks amazing. If you do not have an opportunity to see the trail, the Friend’s group will do this again for July 4th. Anybody who would like to help with July 4th should contact Joey Kaner at (joeykaner@att.net) |
PARKHILL DOG PARK RIBBON
CUTTING CEREMONY
The Parkhill Dog Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was Saturday, January 21st at 16500 Shadybank Drive. Cara Mendelsohn, Dallas City Council District 12 and Lane Conner, Dallas Park and Recreation Board member District 12, were present at the ceremony as well as other members that were introduced. They all had a large impact on getting our dog park finished! The water fountain and the nice wood chips were the final installation the day before the ceremony. Dallas Animal Shelter was present with their truck and four dogs available for adoption. Fenyx was especially adorable and her pic is included below! Pampered Pets Dog Sitting service had a table and gave out free goodie bags for the dogs. Tennis balls, water bottles and tote bags were also handed out free to attendees. What a nice gesture from the city! I hope everyone gets a chance to see our new dog park and enjoy the amenities provided. And be sure to tell Cara thank you if you see her!
